Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

We collect NO user data whatsoever. Specifically:

• No Personal Information: We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any other personal identifiers.
• No Usage Data: We do not track how you use the Apps, what queries you make, or any interaction patterns.
• No Analytics: The Apps do not contain any analytics frameworks or tracking codes.
• No Crash Reports: We do not collect crash reports or diagnostic data.
• No Advertising IDs: The Apps do not use or collect advertising identifiers.
• No Location Data: We do not access or collect your location information.
• No API Keys: Any API keys you provide (such as Serper API keys) are stored locally on your device or in your iCloud container only. We have no access to these keys.

2. How the Apps Work

• LLM Pigeon (iOS): Functions as an AI chatbot interface that communicates with your Mac through iCloud/CloudKit.
• LLM Pigeon Server (macOS): Runs AI models locally on your Mac and processes requests from the iOS app.
• Data Synchronization: All communication between the Apps occurs through your personal iCloud account using CloudKit. This data remains entirely within your iCloud container and is never accessible to us.

3. Web Search Functionality (Optional)

The Apps now include an optional web search feature that requires you to provide your own Serper API key. Here's how it works:

• Completely Optional: Web search functionality is disabled by default and only activates if you choose to add your own Serper API key.
• Your API Key: The Serper API key you provide is stored locally on your device or within your iCloud container. We never have access to your API key.
• Privacy-Preserving Search: When you use web search:
  • Your full conversation is NEVER shared with Serper or any third party
  • The LLM model running locally on your Mac generates relevant search queries based on your conversation
  • Only these generated search queries are sent to Serper's API
  • Search results are processed locally on your device
• Direct Relationship: By using the web search feature, you establish a direct relationship with Serper using your own API key. We are not involved in this relationship and do not receive any data from your searches.

4. iCloud/CloudKit Usage

The Apps use Apple's CloudKit service to synchronize conversations between your devices. This means:

• All data is stored in your personal iCloud container
• Data is encrypted by Apple according to their security standards
• We have no access to your iCloud data
• You can delete all app data by removing it from your iCloud storage
• API keys (if provided) are also stored in your iCloud container and synced between your devices

5. Third-Party Services

The Apps do not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

If you choose to enable web search functionality by providing a Serper API key:

• You are using Serper's services directly under your own account
• Serper's privacy policy and terms of service apply to your use of their API
• We recommend reviewing Serper's privacy policy to understand how they handle search queries
• Remember: only search queries (not your conversations) are sent to Serper

6. Children's Privacy

The Apps do not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

7. Changes to Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date above. Continued use of the Apps after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
